All members are encouraged to help facilitate events. Inactive members may be removed.
Please respond to event invitations decisively. Notify the host directly if your RSVP changes. Register only for events you plan to attend. Repeated no-shows, cancellations, or tardiness may result in loss of priority for future limited-capacity events.
When creating events, please invite all members of St. Charles Homeschool Co-Op, not restricted to age limits and always coed. Do not open events up to the public, invite non-members, nor cross-promote without admin permission.
It is the host's responsibility to pay for materials when leading classes. Hosts may ask for donations or collaborate with other members to share costs. Do not charge an attendance fee unless hiring a third party.
Arrive on time, be kind, respectful, well-mannered, and refrain from gossiping or sharing confidential information. This goes for parents and children.
Please keep discussion board posts relevant to all members and focused on homeschooling. Thanks for helping maintain a useful and beneficial space.
Events are geared toward kids ages 5-10. Younger and older siblings are welcome to tag along if necessary.
All members contribute to hosting classes, sharing knowledge and passion for teaching to create engaging learning experiences.
We meet at library meeting rooms, residences, park pavilions, playgrounds, church facilities, gymnasiums, and hiking trails.
We offer core subjects like reading, math, science, and social studies as well as electives such as art, music, health, and physical education.
Regular social events help families connect, share experiences, get to know each other, and build lasting friendships.
We organize field trips and invite guest speakers to provide hands-on experiences and broader perspectives.
